GELATE Promotion attacked!!

Gelate get a new promotion!!! Enjoy an Ice-Cream everywhere in Thailand!!!muah muah!!!!

The eye of the master will do more work than both her hands.

finally i have a chance to upload my Final years project 2009!!

'Tales from Thread'.
My work is inspired by Thai cultural tradition of making garland or 'roi malai' in thai.
After researching about this Thai tradition, I found that making garland means a lot not just only beautiful flowers.
For me, it means telling stories through generations.

This concept of telling stories had developed my work to be a children picture book which can keep this tradition of telling stories.
Also, the children picture book can present a story of 'Sandy', a young traveler who wants to buy her little sister a birthday cake.
Sandy asks her mother if she can go by herself. Her mother gives Sandy a map and a rope to take anything she sees on the way,
threading them together to be clues for her to get back home if she gets lost. Passing many different places and having new experiences,
Sandy finally gets to the shop and buys the cake. However, when she tries to get back home, she gets lost,
so she uses all the things she threads to guide her back home.

I've used graphic skills and book binding skills to create this masterpiece.
Within a short distance for adults, this young traveler sees it as her first journey which is very special and exciting.
This children picture book presents the story from a child's view, so it can bring children into an imaginative and wonderful adventure of Sandy.
Also, it allows children to actually thread all the different things Sandy sees with a rope to be accessories and decorations,
because those different items are attached with the book.

From the photos, you can see my exhibition area. I decided to present children picture book on the bed,
because it can represent a room of a young kid who reads a tale before going to bed. This bed is very special because
amp pea good zai and I had built by ourselves. The big piece of cloth on the bed is also my textile design.
